Hav a Toshiba Satellited and the plastic divider between the RJ11 and RJ45 jack broke causing the ethernet cable to keep slipping out. Cant fix since part of the chasis. TRENDnet USB 10/100 is a great and cheap alternative and XPsp2 detected it fast with nothing else needed.

Works in Linux! I did not have a whole lot of faith that TRENDnet USB 10/100 would work in one of my Linux machines, but I was pleasantly surprised. I have Ubuntu 6.10 running on a small form factor Gateway that has no way to install a ''normal'' NIC, so that's why I bought this. And it works great. I wish dearly TRENDnet USB 10/100 was USB 2.0, but oh well.

Setup was quick and easy. Got my secondary computer going online right away. Looking forward to setting up my network. Just note that it is USB 1.1, not USB 2.0, if you need that.

Works great, its cheaper then an fast pci-nic card. this is faster then my onboard realtek 8139 on-board -nic. fast downloads. worth the money. Highly Recommended.
