pro: The price is very good for a starter system. The DVR and cameras are small ,easy to install and setup the motion sense and time record settings. The camera's work well in complete darkness to nearly the advertised 30 feet.Con: Software that is furnished is very picky about the video board and drivers. 3 different computers before one worked and I could see the video. Using the DVR buttons, searching back in time to view recorded video is very slow. Reverse scan seems to be about 10x, so to see last night, it takes about an hour to scan back 10 hours. Q-SEE QSD004C4-250 4-Channel 250GB DVR & 4 Cameras will hold over a week of video. If you hook up a computer via USB to review the video, all DVR functions are halted. Searching recorded video might be faster with the computer if it works better for you than it did for me. No remote view options over a network are included in Q-SEE QSD004C4-250 4-Channel 250GB DVR & 4 Cameras model. Video output is BNC/RCA jack so your VGA computer monitor won't work without a $50 converter.

Ok, I did alot of homework on Q-SEE QSD004C4-250 4-Channel 250GB DVR & 4 Cameras one. Turns out that it IS the best bang for your buck. I purchased at a local store and had it setup to a 32'' TV monitor in no time at all. Sweet! The only con was that I had to buy cable extensions for the area I needed to cover for each camera. The 100ft extension came as a kit with the female connectors needed. These ran approx. $20.00 each kit. Yes, they are color cameras. Night vision is all you could ask for. Good deal all in one package! No regrets.

I love my cameras, The motion sensitivity is a bit off, sensitivity 3 records everything, but 4 is not sensitive at all. I shopped around on ebay, costco, etc, and this was the best deal. I can't wait to catch my crazy neighbor. I just hope they work in cold weather. Easy set up to my old tv. Great deal.

I am pleased with this unit and is a good buy for the money. BEWARE though, if you have it connected to your computer with the USB cord and do a hard drive format with the program provided Q-SEE QSD004C4-250 4-Channel 250GB DVR & 4 Cameras will also format any USB external hard drive you have connected with out any warning, it took out mine with all the data on it. Since it uses its own format you can't get the data back.
