Q-See 4-Channel PCI DVR & 4 Cameras Reviews

To begin with for the money I feel Q-See 4-Channel PCI DVR & 4 Cameras is a great deal. It took about 10 minutes to install the card and software (make sure to select NTSC as the format). Color is great when motion is detected IT DOES GIVE AN AUDIBLE BEEP. The only drawback I see is that two of the cameras don't have the see at night technology, also since the program has the pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) capability I feel the dome should be the one with PTZ. Set up remote viewing and playback on the wifes laptop and it works great on a wireless home network. Love it and would highly recommend Q-See 4-Channel PCI DVR & 4 Cameras to anyone looking for a system for the home.

Only problem i have with this is its not supported by Windows Vista. Had to install on an older XP machine i had. Other than that, awesome product for the bucks!

I don't have enough room to rant about this correctly on all it's flaws, so in short. No audible beeps when motion is detectedTime lapsed video when it's recorded(it's really fast and hard to catch a face)Worst program EVER includedUses baud modem ''emulation'', 9600bps, yea you heard me, find a 3rd party program that supports that, I dare you.It only beeps when there a camera is D/C'd and will continue to beep until you rip the beeper off the card, or close the program.Wal-Mart $10 surveillance camera beeped(serious I have one)You get what you pay for. I was a sucker to a point, but this was the 1st one I've done, so yeah. The cheapest I could put one together with 4 cameras and a card without wires was $260ish, I got this one for $200 on another site. Again, get what you pay for

Pretty good video for the price. I was amazed that such tiny little cameras could work so well. The card and software installed in less than 5 minutes and the cameras come with 60 feet of video, power and the ones that have audio also have a line. The audio RCA phono plugs are red not white like in the PCI card manual but Q-See 4-Channel PCI DVR & 4 Cameras was easy to figure out when you look at the camera instructions. It is working on an AMD Athlon AM2 and very well I might add.I recommend this combo. I am going to tie this system into the internet for remote viewing and record the video and audio from another location for a backup.
