Installed OK and provides fine net connection. I did not have heat problems noted in another review. But after a few days, my device emitted a high pitched whine, and it got worse over a couple weeks. Terribly annoying.

I work from home and connect through a vpn. A solid connection is important. I had a Linksys dispite teaching myself how to update firmware the thing would keep resetting so I figured Linksys 10/100 Mbps Router was time to upgrade. So I called the company so I could learn what I needed to learn to buy what I needed to buy. The woman wouldn't answer my questions on networking or where to find that info. She ran a troubleshoot on the old router I had and that's it... that's all she would do. So! I studied, I asked around and, I studied some more. I finally decided on Linksys. I contacted their customer service and even though I had not yet purchased one they pointed me in the direction of some good basic router how to's and gave me a couple tips. I would have given Linksys 10/100 Mbps Router product five across the board except I'm sure there are routers out there with more features but for my money Linksys 10/100 Mbps Router one rocks all 3 of my comps w/ narry a flicker. I say get it.

Unless you have something insane like a personal T1 ISP or something (which begs the question: why spend so little on a router for it?), this is perfect for just about anybody. I have one that I use for my dorm room, and my friend shares it with me. Our broadband connection is fast, safe, and smooth with this thing. I haven't yet gotten a warning from my AVG Anti-Virus or Anti-Spyware programs, so things are even faster for it.

Excellent router! Setup was a breeze and took all of 5 minutes. Admin tools are easy to use and well documented. The firewall is one of the toughest I've found and it works great. As far as stability, I run a 4 comp lan and the router goes non stop 24/7. Even with a full load the case hasn't even gotten warm, unlike my commercial router which will almost fry eggs. I'd recommend it for anyone wanting a fast, secure router.
