The iPod Compatible RCA Audio/Video to Dock Connector Cable allows you to play music, photos, and videos from your iPod through your home entertainment system. The dock connector sends line level audio and video out from your iPod providing better sound and image quality then when using the headphone jack. The dock connector also allows you to control the volume of your iPod through your stereo or television rather than having to adjust the volume on the iPod.

Note: This cable is not compatible with the iPod classic

Also does not work with the Nano 3G. The iPod does not recognize the device as a video accessory when plugged in. CTG 4Ft iPod Compatible RCA Audio/Video to Dock Ca will play music through the device, but there are cheaper accessories for that. The packaging only states ''works with iPod Photo and iPod Video.'' Apple's website does not list ''Photo'' or ''Video'', so I'm not sure with which iPods CTG 4Ft iPod Compatible RCA Audio/Video to Dock Ca device will work.

I purchased CTG 4Ft iPod Compatible RCA Audio/Video to Dock Ca product to interface with my new IPOD Classic 80Gb. It does not work, apparently Apple disabled the video out feature, unless you are using an ''Apple'' video cable with a certification chip included, which of course this cable does not have. I should have known better than buy an Apple product, their business practices have always been in the tolet! But I let people I know convince me with ''Try it, you'll like it!''. As I understand it, in the forums they say this cable should work with the pre-2007 models.

You need to switch the outputs. Red plugs into yellow for video.
