Adesso Wireless Mini Keyboard with Trackball was just what I was looking for....inexpensive and i piece construction ( no additional mouse) I use it on a media pc streaming content to my 42'' TV. The battery door is NOT hinged, so be careful when you take it off to install the batteries ( i read a review that warned me of Adesso Wireless Mini Keyboard with Trackball... it is easy to break.) I love it . I have had it about 2 weeks and have had no problems. my house is small but it works everywhere. track ball took a little getting used to ( its very touchy) but this may be because i have the acceleration maxed out on my mouse set up. it took a few days to find but in my left hand index finger there is a scroll wheel built into the side of this critter which was a very pleasant surprise to find ! some of the '' function'' buttons dont work???? well i didn't think i would have any reason to use them ....but fn/f6 turns of my backlight ( on the notebook ) but cannot be performed '' remotely'' so i try to remember to do that before i set down.enjoy !

My experience matches much of what's already been written - simple install, good power management, somewhat cheaply made, etc. Want to add: did NOT work out of the box as no batteries were included, unlike with other products. Cheaply packaged - got the impression I'd been shipped someone else's return. None of the number keys work, nor do their shift functions: !, @, #, etc. Just started working w/ Adesso on an exchange/return; don't know yet how they are to deal with.

This keyboard did not work well out of the box.. It locks up often and many keys just don't work.. there is also a long delay in processing keystrokes. Cheaply made, Needs much improvement...

I love this kb, just what I was looking for to add to the media center in my family room. The response is excellent, just plug-in an press set for easy set-up. The battery life appears to be excellent, running for five weeks with everyday uses for hours at a time. I intend to by a second one for my lap top thats connected to the 42'' lcd in bedroom.

Great little HTPC keyboard. Range is excellent. I sit 12 feet away and no dropped keystrokes. The trackball is way better than those trackpads. Having the scroll wheel on the left edge of the keyboard is a great feature. The size is nice too. Key quality could be better but I'm not complaining. Get one, you won't regret it.
