I dont remember just exactly how long I have owned my track ball(over 5 years for sure) but it only has two buttons. I will soon have to replace it because the left button does not work every time I hit it. Of course I will replace it with another one like it.

I got a macbook for school and bought a trackball because i figured i would be short on space or sitting on a couch using my computer. 4-Button Trackball thing is great. i cant say enough how great of a deal 4-Button Trackball is. Because it is a macbook the two small buttons(backward and forward) dont work, but that is insignificant. I do have to wipe the inside of the ball holder weekly, but then it is as good as new. get this!!

My first Logitech trackball was a large square thing with 2 buttons... I loved it!!! After about 5 years of use the left button finally gave out and I was despondant and without for years. I finally found this trackball at a yard sale for $2 I been using it for about 4 years now the button clicks are still crisp and like new, the forward and back buttons work great. Thank god that everyone else in our family of 5 uses the mouse attached to my computer because I finally am starting to wear out... The logo. I am purchasing a new barebones system from Tiger and will upgrade to a cordless model with the one feature this one lacks... a scroll wheel. You can't go wrong with this model! I will keep this one just in case, but after reading the reviews for the cordless model that may be a long time!

I purchased this for my Macbook Pro and it works great! I have a rather limited space on my desk and the fact that this is stationary is perfect. I don't feel the strain on my wrist as much as with a traditional mouse. Highly recommended!

Fantastic trackball. I wanted a wired trackball for my macbook because i figured i would be using a pillow to rest a mouse on. although the side buttons dont work for mac it is still a great product
